So we’re on the final countdown to Finals Day. We look forward to meeting you all there and seeing the winning teams in action next Thursday.

We’ll be bringing the best of Brighton with us to create a London by the Sea experience - fingers crossed the weather stays beach-ready ��️ come over to say hi, grab a stick of rock and take some end-of-pier photos with your teammates when you have a chance. Finals night

Thursday 11th August (so soon!). You know that, right! 

At the time of writing 46 teams had completed the helpful google form.  Thank you.  Still time for the last few teams to register.  If you do not fill this out, we will not have food and alcohol for you.  3rd time of asking, this is really the last chance to register.

When you arrive on finals night, please head to the Blue Step marque.  The committee will be working with our lovely sponsors to distribute, food and refreshments.  As usual we will give you two bin bags, one for rubbish, one for recycling, so we tidy up after ourselves.

Schedule is below….

15:00: Committee arrive and start setting up

16:00: Plate and Shield finalists arrive.  You need permission to get off work early, work flexi time, book leave… just be ready!  Please bring your bases!

16:25: Spectators to start arriving

16:30: The Plate and The Shield Finals kick off simultaneously.  The committee will have marked up two pitches and will provide a main umpire, 1st base umpire and new balls!  

18:00: Shield and Plate final winners are announced and presented with trophies

18:05: The Cup finalists make themselves known to the committee.

1830: The Cup kicks off

20:00: The Cup final finishes

2030: Awards ceremony for entire league

Competitions reminder  - Again!

Bluestep and Coopah, are both running competitions at the moment. Comment your favourite softball memory on BlueSteps LinkedIn post to be in with a chance of winning a £50 Virgin Experience Day voucher. Next week will be the first final I have missed since 2007, but I have had to twice roll over a holiday because of the pandemic.  I will be cheering all our finalists from a pool in France.
